JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — A Jamestown man whose wife tipped off authorities has pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing child pornography.

Authorities say the wife of 55-year-old Alexander McManus reported finding a cellphone containing child porn wedged behind a refrigerator. They say McManus also had other devices in his home with child porn, including a flash drive hidden beneath his bedroom mattress.

U.S. Attorney Chris Myers says McManus possessed thousands of sexually explicit photos of children, some as young as 2.

McManus pleaded guilty in federal court in Fargo on Monday. He’ll be sentenced later.

Jamestown  (CSi) A 55 year old Jamestown man has pleaded  guilty  to three counts of child pornography.

Authorities say Alexander McManus was turned in by his wife after she found a cell phone containing child pornography images.

Questioned by police, McManus then turned over a flash drive that contained thousands of images of children engaged in sex acts, some as young as two years old.

McManus pleaded guilty, Monday to one Count of Receipt and Distribution of Materials Containing Child Pornography and two Counts of Possession of Materials Containing Child Pornography.

This case was investigated by the Jamestown Police Department and the North Dakota BCI.
