Hope  (CSi)  The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports numerous injuries in a two vehicle crash Sunday about 2:08 p.m., at the intersection of Highways 32 and 38, three miles west of Hope North Dakota.

Sgt Ben Kennelly says, a 2015 Toyota Rav 4, operated by 29 year old Nicolas Pietron of Larimore was  Northbound on Highway 32.  The 17 year old  driver of a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup was crossing Highway 32 from the west and heading east towards Hope on Highway 38. The Ford was struck by the Toyota in the passenger side in the northbound lane of highway 32. The Ford continued into the north east ditch of the intersection facing northeast. The Toyota came to rest facing northwest on the  northeast corner of the intersection. Ford was on east/west roadway controlled by a stop sign.

The driver of the Ford Pickup was taken by life flight to Sanford in Fargo to be treated for injuries. All other occupants were transported by ambulance to Sanford Health in Fargo.

Those injured in the crash included Pietron and his passenger, 30 year old Lindsey Pietron of Larimore, and two juveniles  in the Toyota.

Those injured in the Ford pickup included the 17 year old driver, and a 15 year old and 10 year old juvenile occupants.

The Toyota occupants wore seat belts, the Ford pickup occupants did not.

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.

The Highway Patrol was  assisted at the scene by the Steele Sheriff, Traill Sheriff, Griggs Sheriff, Barnes Sheriff, Offices and the Finley/Hp Fire, Cooperstown Ambulance.
