Jamestown  (CSi)  The Corps will increase Pipestem Dam releases on Friday June 30.

Pipestem Dam Manager Bob Martin says the release will go from 125 cfs to 250 cfs.

He says the increase as part of the planned drawdown of the reservoir to freeze up levels before winter, at 1,443 feet.

Pipestem Reservoir is currently at 1,463 feet above sea level.

Also releases from Jamestown Dam were decreased from 13 cfs to zero on Wednesday this week, with Jamestown Reservoir a few inches below its normal level at this time.

The current inflow to the Jamestown Reservoir is down to about 25 cfs.

Martin adds, that water is evaporating from Jamestown Resrvoir, eliminating the need for releases at the present time.
