LaMoure  (CSi)  LaMoure County State’s Attorney Tonya Duffy has kept her position, as petition signatures calling for a recall election were short of those required.

170 incomplete addresses were on the petitions of around 613 signatures, that were collected, 98 signatures shy to require a recall election that were turned in on June 20, 2017.

The petition stated that the recall was being initiated due to Duffy, “Lacking the competency and demeanor to hold the office and neglecting to properly perform the duties of the county’s prosecuting attorney.”
