Washington (CSi) – US Rep Kevin Cramer announced the USDA Rural Development has awarded money to nine different ND.
- One of the projects being funded is the Jamestown Regional Entrepreneur Center, as the University of Jamestown receives $63,415, to provide technical assistance to assist entrepreneurs and innovators in developing and launching successful business in the counties of Wells, Foster, Griggs, Stutsman, Barnes, Logan, LaMoure, McIntosh and Dickey.
- Other, Applicant Contribution: $53,357.00
with the total project cost at $116,772.00.
Others funded include:
- Dunn County has been awarded a combined total of $41,096 for two different projects. The first project will receive $14,795 for a study on how to improve food production and consumption of local foods. The second project will receive $26,301 to determine if it is possible to convert an empty building into a “mixed-use business incubator facility”.
- The City of Mott will receive $58,920 to turn an existing building into office space.
- Tuttle Betterment Club will receive $44,585 to renovate the old Tuttle School for use as a regional economic development incubator.
- Pebmina County Job Development Authority will receive $19,000 for the Northern Red River Valley Youth Entrepreneurship Initiative.
- North Central Planning Council will receive $253,506 to purchase equipment for Chiptronics, Inc.
- Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa will receive $108,140 to provide training for rural entrepreneurs.
- Roosevelt-Custer Regional Council will receive $99,000 to provide resources for local producers.
