Fargo  (CSi)   US Rep Kevin Cramer attended a ribbon cutting Friday, for a number of recently complete construction projects at the VA Health Center in Fargo including a Community Living Center, Primary Care Department, Imaging Department, and Intensive Care Unit.

Cramer says, “The Fargo VA serves as a role model for other VA facilities around the country. Their dedication to healthcare for the veterans of our country is second to none, and I was honored to be with them today to celebrate their new departments.”

During the event, Cramer discussed the House’s swift action on passing the largest VA budget ever, and emphasized the importance of the Senate passing the VA appropriations bill as opposed to another continuing resolution, which extends funding under the current budget

Senator John Hoeven marked the completion of nearly $25 million in expansions to the Fargo Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee on Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, Hoeven works to secure robust funding to improve health care services available to veterans.

Senator Heidi Heitkamp spoke and said, “It is a great day to be in Fargo highlighting the newly expanded VA Medical Center that provides top notch health care to North Dakota’s veterans.  These new facilities will provide needed health care services to the men and woman who have served this nation with the specialty, primary, and long term care they earned. The work does not stop here, we must continue to provide the federal support for veterans homes, medical centers, and clinics all across the country so that when our servicemembers return home they can expect to receive quality health care to keep them healthy and thriving throughout their life. It’s an honor to be at this celebration with local veterans and those who care for them, and I’ll continue to fight to make sure they have the best possible health care.”
