Fessenden (CSi)  – Former Wells County Sheriff Johnny Lawson has requested a change of plea hearing.

The hearing is now scheduled for Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 10:30-a.m.

Lawson is currently free on bond.

The 41 year-old Lawson has been charged with felony counts of conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine and bribery, along with misdemeanor counts of providing false information to a law enforcement officer, neglect of duty by a public official, and ingesting meth.

He has pleaded not guilty to three misdemeanor charges, and has not yet entered a plea on the two felony charges.
