She confronted the man who the report says returned most of her property to the driveway from his car, and the then left.
She followed the car and the suspect was located, and taken into custody.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – A farm aid organization that started in North Dakota six years ago is expanding into its fifth state.
Farm Rescue was started by North Dakota farm native Bill Gross, who flies cargo airplanes for UPS.
Farm Rescue organizes volunteers who help injured, ill or disaster-stricken farmers plant and harvest their crops.
The effort began in 2006 with Gross, three other volunteers and not much money. It has since expanded into South Dakota, Montana and Minnesota, and the group is now going into Iowa.
Farm Rescue has helped almost 200 farmers, with aid from volunteers from around the country. It’s supported largely by donations from around the nation – and by more than 200 business sponsors.
Gross says it’s “exciting and inspirational” to see how Farm Rescue has grown.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) – A 20-year-old man is accused of second-degree
murder in the death of a North Dakota man last week on the Fort
Berthold Indian Reservation.
Waylon Hicks made his first appearance Wednesday in federal
court. Court documents accuse him of stabbing 30-year-old Jeremiah
Sage to death Friday after the two left a New Town bar.
Hicks was not asked to enter a plea. A preliminary hearing has
not been scheduled.
An affidavit says Sage offered to give Hicks a ride to his truck
when the bar closed. Hicks allegedly told investigators he became
angry after Sage made sexual advances toward him.
The complaint says Hicks stabbed Sage several times in the
chest.
U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon had no comment. A federal public
defender was not immediately available for comment.
MINOT, N.D. (AP) – A North Dakota man is accused of using
counterfeit money to gamble in bars.
Joshua Jones, of Minot, has been indicted in federal court on a
pair of counterfeiting charges. Authorities say he gambled with
$950 in bogus bills at two Minot bars on June 19.
A federal affidavit says police identified Jones at the second
bar after employees at the first bar gave a description that
included a swastika tattoo on his neck.
A federal public defender was not available for comment.
Arraignment is scheduled for Aug. 31.
WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) – A suspect in an armed robbery in Williston has been arrested in Kansas.
Williston Police Detective Cory Collings says that the 60-year-old man has made an initial court appearance.
Police say the man had a gun, but he didn’t point it at anyone when he took an undisclosed amount of money from the bank on July 18th.
Collings says the department is checking to see why the man was in Williston.
DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) – Critics of Stark County Sheriff Clarence Tuhy (TOO’-ee) say he is hostile to co-workers and can’t get along with people in the county’s emergency dispatch center.
The Stark County Commission has asked Governor Jack Dalrymple to remove Tuhy from office.
Former state district judge William Hodny (HOD’-nee) presided at a hearing in Dickinson yesterday.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – A Grand Forks state senator whose district
includes the University of North Dakota says he’s dismayed by the
findings of an audit on student fee spending.
The audit examined how some fees collected by North Dakota State
University and the University of North Dakota are being used.
It found some fee money is being spent for first-class plane
tickets, furniture and other items that aren’t related to the
purpose of the fees.
Other fees are being used to build up large contingency funds.
Grand Forks Sen. Mac Schneider pushed legislation last year to
require North Dakota’s public colleges to list the fees they
collect and how they are spent.
Schneider says the Legislature could take up the issue of
questionable student fee spending if the Board of Higher Education
doesn’t.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – New North Dakota college students have an
extra entrance requirement this fall. If they live in campus
housing, they must be vaccinated against meningitis.
North Dakota’s Board of Higher Education has approved the rule.
The state Department of Health says a number of states have a
similar vaccination requirement.
Health Department immunization coordinator Abbi Pierce says
meningitis is caused by bacteria and can get serious very quickly.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) – The president of the AFL-CIO is pledging
his support for locked-out union workers at American Crystal Sugar.
Richard Trumka was in St. Paul on Wednesday for what was billed
as a major announcement on the lockout.
Trumka said the AFL-CIO
would coordinate with the union for American Crystal Workers, but
announced no specific actions.
More than 1,300 workers have been locked out of their jobs since
last Aug. 1 at facilities in Minnesota, North Dakota and Iowa.
Moorhead-based American Crystal Sugar is the largest sugar beet
processor in the country. Union workers have rejected its contract
proposal three times over seniority and job security concerns.
The company says it’s a good offer with substantial increases in wages
and benefits.
No talks are scheduled.
DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota’s Air National Guard will
begin operating a practice range for drone aircraft this fall.
Air Guard Col. Rick Gibney says the Federal Aviation
Administration has established blocks of restricted airspace for
the training.
The space will be up to 10,000 feet above sea level over Camp
Grafton South. The area covers 9,300 acres between Devils Lake and
Jamestown.
Within the space, drone pilots will be able to practice with
lasers that are used to pick out targets. The Grand Forks Herald
reports (http://bit.ly/MKfzoc) other aircraft will be barred from
the airspace during training.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Officials say visitation at North Dakota’s
state parks is strong halfway through the tourist season.
The Parks and Recreation Department says just under 400,000
people visited the state’s 13 parks during the first half of 2012.
That was up 20 percent over last year, when flooding was a problem
in several areas of the state.
Parks Director Mark Zimmerman says the visitation so far this
year is almost on pace with the first half of 2010. Visitation
during that entire year was the fifth-highest in recorded history.
And Zimmerman says it’s possible that this year’s visitation has
exceeded the first half of 2010 because vehicles on a detour route
at Icelandic State Park aren’t being counted.
Fort Stevenson State Park on Lake Sakakawea near Garrison leads
the way in visitation.
AVON, Minn. (AP) – A rare white buffalo calf has died at a central Minnesota ranch.
The calf named Baby died last Friday at Countryside Buffalo Ranch in Avon (AY’-vahn).
The white heifer was born July 4th on the ranch run by Steve and Carol Sarff.
Steve Sarff says heat causes flies to swarm around buffalo, and he suspects the calf may have been inadvertently kicked by its mother.
White buffalo are considered as rare as one in 10 million, and are viewed as a spiritual symbol by some American Indian tribes.

as economic issues and the Olympics.

about guns in the aftermath of the Colorado shooting rampage.
