Bismarck   (CSi)  Catherine Lein won an award from the North Dakota Safety Council Life Saving award for doing CPR on Pat John of Jamestown.

The award was given on Friday Feb 23, in Bismarck.

The North Dakota Safety Council points out that in an emergency, every second counts and acting fast can save a life.
And that’s just what the four winners of North Dakota Safety Council’s Lifesaver Award did.
In her case, Catherine Lein found herself performing CPR on a co-worker and says, even if you’re scared, don’t be afraid to help someone who’s in trouble.
Lein says, “Just help if it happens to you at work, help, don’t be scared to help anybody, just do it.”.
The North Dakota Safety Council gives the Lifesaver Awards every year.
They can go to anyone who goes above and beyond the call of duty to help save a life.
This year’s recipients include Catherine Lein, Edward Nelson, Patrick Johnson, Richard Eversik.
