Doris Dockter, 89, Streeter, ND died Friday March 16, 2018 at the Napoleon Care Center in Napoleon, ND.

Doris Schopp was born February 5, 1929 in Timber Lake, SD, the daughter of Adam and Katie (Stelzer) Schopp. She grew up in the Streeter area.

 

Doris and Gottlieb J. Dockter were married April 5, 1946 at Streeter, ND. They made their home on the farm SE of Streeter where they farmed for many years. In April 1980 she started working for Logan County Social Services as in-home care provider.

 

She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Streeter, ND.  She was lifetime member Streeter Legion Auxiliary.

 

Doris is survived by her 3 sons, Daryl (Velma) Dockter, Jamestown, ND; Larry (Karen) Dockter, Medina, ND; Duane (Linda) Dockter, Grand Rapids, MN; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; 1 foster daughter, Ruth Klein, Fargo, ND; 3 foster grandchildren and 1 brother, Lloyd (Violet) Schopp, Streeter, ND, and many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2013 and 2 great granddaughters.
