Jamestown  (CSi)  Vector Control will be AERIAL spraying for elevated mosquito nuisance in the City on Saturday July 11 starting at 7:45 P.M. for two to four hours, with Monday July 13 as the contingent date.

The spraying will be performed by Airborne Custom Spraying, from Halsted, Minnesota.

The company states:  These applications have been approved by the FAA and the appropriate state departments. Specially-trained and licensed pilots are assisting in the control of mosquitoes in this area. The mosquito control product is one specifically designed for use in residential areas. It is safe to use and will not harm people, pets, or gardens. However, as an added measure of safety, you may remain indoors while the application is taking place.

The active ingredient in the ULV (Ultra Low Volume) spray is permethrin. This insecticide is labeled for use in residential areas and are found to be non-toxic to humans and pets.

All AERIAL spraying operations are contingent upon weather conditions.
