Wind Tower Crash to Temp Close Hwy 281 Weds

(NDHP) ND DOT will temporarily close US Hwy 52 later today from Melville to Jamestown July 29 to clear the roadway.

The following detour is in place:
• NB traffic north on Hwy 20 in Jamestown, west on Hwy 9 to US 52 south of Melville.
• SB traffic east on Hwy 9 south of Melville, then south on Hwy 20 to meet US 52 in Jamestown.

Previously:  Jamestown (CSi) An extended trailer transporting a section of a wind tower ended up in the ditch one mile south of Pingree on Highway 281, Tuesday morning.

Representatives of the wind tower company were on hand working the crash.  The North Dakota Highway Patrol was on the scene investigating.
