Wilbert Donald Reister, 83, Medina, North Dakota passed away peacefully on October 19, 2020 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND surrounded by family.
Wilbert was born September 11, 1937 to Theodore and Lorraine (Schlaht) Reister on the farm near Medina. He attended Medina school was a lifetime member of Zion United Church of Christ in Medina and was passed Secretary/Treasurer of Newbury Township. Wilbert met the love of his life, Darlis Blahna and they were married December 5, 1955 in Jamestown, ND. They farmed for nine years south of Medina and then moved into town and lived there until retirement.
Wilbert and Darlis went on many bus trips over the years and enjoyed meeting new people that remained lifelong friends. Wilbert enjoyed his time at the coffee table with his special friends. He looked forward to holidays and special events when he could be with family. He also enjoyed his trips to the casinos.
Wilbert is survived by his wife, Darlis, Medina; children, Clyde (Penny) Reister, Streeter, Bonnie Reister (Dean), West Fargo, Brad (Doreen) Reister, Jamestown, Craig (Michal) Reister, Streeter, Jolene (Tim) Grabinger, Jamestown, and Tina Reister, Jamestown; grandchildren, Lance, Wade, Matthew, Lisa, Mike, Sara, Benjamin, Rebecca, Jeremy, Megan, Miranda, Courtney, Chad, Vanessa, Natasha, Brittney, Derek, Savanah and Samantha; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Les (Gloria), Garry; and sister, Diane Stroh.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Visitation: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Private Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Zion United Church of Christ in Medina with Burial to follow at Medina City Cemetery. This will be recorded and uploaded to our website in the afternoon on Thursday.
