Lorraine Jorgenson, of Jamestown, ND passed away peacefully on Friday, October 30th; just shy of her 94th birthday.
Florence Lorraine Warner was born on November 22, 1926 on a farm near Marion, ND. She attended Marion High School and Valley City State College. Lorraine married Robert Jorgenson in Ypsilanti, ND on June 20, 1948. The couple raised their 4 children in Ypsi. & in 1998 celebrated 50 years together. Lorraine taught art in Montpelier, ND, grades 1 – 12, was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jamestown Senior Center, Ypsilanti 50+ Club, Jamestown Art Center and American Legion Auxiliary. She had a passion for art, painting and jewelry making; enjoyed knitting and creating flower arrangements; was known as the family and community historian; loved following HS basketball.
Lorraine was a loving & devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; mother, Elsie Brimer; father, Harry Warner; brother, Don Warner. She is lovingly remembered by daughters, Pauli Suko & Elaine Jorgenson; sons, Jon (Kristi) Jorgenson & David Jorgenson; brother, Dennis Brimer; sister-in-law, Rena Lang; granddaughters, Lori (Eric) Hanson & Kris (Ralph) Walz; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces, 3 nephews, numerous cousins and longtime family friends Tim (Susie) Randall and Bob Walz.
Family & friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Memorial summer 2021. The family is grateful for condolences; in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND or James Valley Cemetery, Ypsilanti, ND.
