Alfred Ziegelman, 92, went to his eternal home on November 4, 2020 with his loving wife, Jeanne, and daughter, Tracy, at his side.
Alfred was born on June 11, 1928 to August and Ida (Gast) Ziegelman of Great Bend, North Dakota. He married Jeanne (Spangler) Ziegelman on September 14, 1952. They lived near Jamestown, North Dakota where he worked for the Farmers Union Oil Company for many years before leaving to begin his next life chapter of farming full time on the family farm.
Alfred loved the outdoors whether it was walking, fishing, chopping wood or driving a tractor. He was also an excellent polka dancer and had a deep faith in the Lord.
Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, August and Ida Ziegelman, four brothers; Marvin, Milton, Raymond, Walter (infant) and three sisters; Arlene Mostad, Erma Prochnow, and Vera (Alfred’s infant twin sister).
He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Jeanne (Spangler) Ziegelman, three daughters; Janel Haugarth, Beth (Leon) Workin, Tracy Wolf, one son, Todd (Melody) Ziegelman, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Jeanette Pratt and sister-in-law Joyce Conley.
A private family graveside service will be held at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
Arrangements are in the care of Williams Funder home.
