Sharon “Sherry” Baker, 80, Jamestown, North Dakota died on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at St. Rose Care Center in LaMoure, ND after several years of declining health.
Sherry was born August 1, 1940 at Trinity Hospital in Jamestown to Henry and Juanita (Buzzell) Baker. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1958 and attend the University of Jamestown (Jamestown College) for one year. Sherry then started working for ASCS, now known as the FSA, and retired from there in 1996.
Sherry’s favorite pastime in her younger years was her golden Palomino horse, Rimrock Golden Reveler. She belonged to a riding club and they competed in horse shows. Sherry and Reveler won many trophies that Sherry was very proud of. She spent countless hours riding horse with her parents and exploring along the banks of the James River and the Pipestem River, and amongst the hills of the river valleys. She also loved taking photos of wild life and birds. Sherry also loved to travel, and her favorite trip was to Churchill, Manitoba to view the majestic polar bears.
Sherry was an only child. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
She is survived by dear friends; Lynn and Terry Nieland, and their children and grandchildren.

It was Sherry’s wish that no funeral would be held.
