Lillian (Gee) Jensen was born in Flaxton, North Dakota, May 13, 1925, the daughter of Vernon and Ida (Hovland) Gee. After graduating from Flaxton High School, where she was the valedictorian, she worked at Union National Bank, Minot, ND. Lillian married Harvey Jensen on August 17, 1945, at Zion Lutheran Church, Berthold, ND. They moved to Mt. Holly, NJ where Harvey was stationed at Fort Dix, NJ and Lillian worked in the Finance Office there.
Following Harvey’s discharge from the Army in 1946, they moved to Grand Forks, ND where Harvey attended the University of North Dakota and Lillian worked in the Alumni Office. After Harvey graduated in 1950, they moved to Jamestown, ND. In 1969, Lillian started working at Jamestown College and worked there until 1987; her last position there was Administrative Assistant to the President. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Portfolio Fine Arts Society Club, Chapter K P.E.O., and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, sewing, and working in her flower gardens. She excelled at many forms of artistic expression including quilting, embroidery, painting and drawing.
She is survived by two sons, Lynn Jensen, Jamestown, Paul (Sue) Jensen, Jamestown; two daughters Susan McPherson, Jamestown, Barb (Dave) Bulgart, Fort Collins, CO; five grandchildren, Dustin (Mary) Jensen, Jamestown, Matt (McKenzie) McPherson, Bismarck, Arielle (Brian Brand) McPherson, Phoenix, AZ, Allie (Sidney Bonser) Bulgart, Thornton, CO, and Hannah Bulgart, Columbus, OH; and four greatgrandchildren, Brynn Raya Jensen and Sophie Ann Jensen, Jamestown, Jenner McPherson and Madden McPherson, Bismarck.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters, one brother, and one grandson, Casey Jensen.
A private family service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will be at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
