Eileen Olsen, 76, Ellendale, ND passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Prince of Peace Care Center, Ellendale, ND.

Eileen Elaine Greeson was born on March 12, 1944 in Boerne, TX in Kendall County to FM and Evelyn (Boatright) Greeson.  Her mother, Evelyn was six weeks pregnant with Eileen when her father, who was in the Army was shipped overseas to fight in WWII.  Eileen did not get to meet her father until 1945 when her father returned from the war in Europe.

While WWII was raging across the seas, Eileen was living with her mother and grandparents in Boerne, TX on dairy farms.  Eileen was diagnosed with Schizophrenia at 16 years of age.  She suffered greatly all her life with this horrible disease.  It affected all aspects of her life and caused great pain to all that loved and needed her.

Eileen spent much of her adult life in Houston, Texas.  She moved to Montana sometime around 1980.  She began living at Prince of Peace Care Center in Ellendale, ND in about 2012.

Eileen had a mental illness that made her say and do things that were hurtful.  But, when her medication was working and she was doing well, her true beautiful self was evident.  She was so sweet, and such a good person during these times of wellness.  I have many fond memories of spending time with her, playing dominoes and laughing.  I can still hear her laugh……

She is survived by her daughters Sherri Kay Brady, Christi Elaine Olsen; grandsons Alexander Lawson Campbell, Gerry Olsen, Izaiah Cady, Harold Cady, Jr., and sisters Cynthia Ann (Greeson) Funkhouser, Denise Marciel (Greeson) Rinehart.  Eileen was preceded in death by her parents FM Greeson, Evelyn Lorraine (Boatright) Greeson and brother Randall Wayne Greeson.

Eileen will be cremated and her ashes sent to her sister in Texas.  They will be placed next to her parent’s burial sites.  No services will be held.

Eddy Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
