(UJ) The University of Jamestown women’s wrestling team will compete at the NAIA National Women’s Wrestling Invitational Friday and Saturday at Harold Newman Arena.

Preliminary brackets were released by the national office on Tuesday.

Matches will begin at 9 a.m. Friday and conclude with the championship matches at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Second seed Rayana Sahagun (FR/Rockford, Mich.) will face Melanie Salazar of Simpson and AnnMarie Hidalgo (SR/El Monte, Calif.) takes on Kassidy Leizler of Baker in the first round of the 109-pound weight class.

In the 116-pound weight class, No. 4 seed Josie Bartishofski (SO/Weston, Wis.) received a bye and will face either Jasmine Alexander of Grand View or Cierra Broukal of Campbellsville. No. 8 seed Arianna Marrufo (JR/Dos Palos, Calif.) will face Sydney McGhee of Missouri Baptist.

Samantha Weeks (SO/Tacoma, Wash.) will face Jenny Castaneda of Waldorf and Marissa Burt (FR/Herman, Neb.) will face No. 3 seed Katlyn Pizzo of Campbellsville in the 123-pound weight class.

No. 6 seed Allie Baudhuin (SO/Coppell, Texas) will face Teya Villalpando of Saint Mary in the 130-pound weight class.

In the 136-pound weight class, No. 6 seed Luisita Jara (FR/Menifee, Calif.) will face Emely Carrillo of Waldorf and Remy Vargas (JR/Orlando, Fla.) will face Abbie Jones of Baker.

Joycelyn Katcheak (SO/Stebbins, Alaska) will face No. 7 seed Destinee Rivera of Life in the 155-pound weight class.

No. 5 seed Sierra Talmadge (JR/Bismarck, N.D.) will face Kassandra Lindemann of Grand View in the 170-pound weight class.

In the 191-pound weight class, No. 7 seed Kelly La Cost (FR/Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) will face Sierra Sanchez of Midland.
