Buchanan  (NDHP)  The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that on Sunday about 5-a.m. along Highway 52, about a mile north of Buchanan, a 27 year old Grand Forks man was injured after falling asleep behind the wheel and rolling a semi pulling a four axle tanker.

The report says the  2022 Volvo was traveling southbound on Highway 52 during windy conditions, with a load of dairy milk when 27 year old Dakota Hatch, of Grand Forks fell asleep and the vehicle and trailer left the roadway entering the west ditch.

Hatch was transported by ambulance to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash. He was charged with care required.

The Highway Patrol  was assisted at the scene by the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office and Jamestown Ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation.
