Memorial Service for Dorothy Lauber, May 27

A memorial service for A. Dorothy Lauber 94, formerly of Jamestown, ND will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. James Basilica in Jamestown. There will be a rosary/vigil service at Williams Funeral Home, 421 1st Ave S, Wednesday, May 26 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Interment will take place at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 27 at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Dorothy, the last survivor of fifteen siblings passed away September 17, 2020 in Apache Junction, Arizona.

Dorothy lived most of her adult life in Jamestown. She moved to Mandan in 2017 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. They spent winters in Arizona where Dorothy fell and broke her hip. When Cathy tested positive for COVID-19, Dorothy was placed in an assisted living group home, where she later died of natural causes. Because of the pandemic, travel was impossible at that time and her memorial had to be postponed.
