Jamestown  (CSi)  Jamestown author Nancy Kuykendall has released her first fiction book, “The Old Woman-Meet Rose.”

Nancy said this is her first book of fiction after writing five nonfiction books. A 100 page read, and was published on May 12 this year.

On Thursday’s Wayne Byers show on CSi Cable 2, Nancy said her book, The Old Woman – Meet Rose, is book one of a three book series.

She pointed out that Rose, the main character is a compilation of many older women she’s known or been told about, bits of herself, and how she imagines how it might be being a widow 80 years or older living alone.

The plan is to have the second book in the series, released for sale by around August this year.

This book was started 5-6 years ago and was set aside three times to write other books. Finally then it felt like the right time to tackle it this past January.

Nancy has  published twice this year, so far.

God Is Not Silent – One woman’s encounters with God this past January.

The Old Woman – Meet Rose was released this month, May 12th.

All of Nancy’s  books can be found on Amazon in both paperback and eBook for Kindle.

She’s  gradually more widely distributing her books into Barnes&Noble and various sellers of ebook formats. Several are now available for not only Kindle users, but for Nook and Apple iBooks. Eventually all will be widely distributed in ebook and in some cases paperback as well.

She added that her latest book will be available at Dakota Store in Jamestown, and at the James River Valley Library System.
