Carol Jean Howe, 79, of Jamestown, North Dakota died on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at her home.
Carol was born on June 3, 1941 the daughter of Adam and Doris (Thornberg) Klein in Valley City, North Dakota. She went to a country school and lived in numerous places before moving to Valley City. Carol worked at Mercy Hospital in Valley City before she started cleaning for a number of people. She moved to Jamestown and began a long career of 24 years as a housekeeper then became head of housekeeping at High Acres Manor. After retiring, she still cleaned for numerous people. Carol was first married to Lawrence Mickelson, second to Delbert Howe, then had a long companion and friendship with Clarence Wenzel.
She enjoyed going to the casinos, taking trips to Nevada, and was most relaxed in an outdoor setting at home. Carol’s life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will remember her great laugh, her jokes, sense of humor and never-ending love. She loved getting together for cookouts with her family and friends and will be missed by many.
Carol is survived by her children; Kevin, Larry, Kelly, and Patty, brothers; Bob Klein and Gary Curtis, sister, Verna Curtis, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Connie Britzman and sister-in-law, Ann Klein as well as aunts and uncles.
Memorial Service: 1 PM, Friday, June 4, 2021 at Eddy Funeral Home with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.
