JoAnn M. Spravzoff passed away on June 20, 2021 at Hatton Prairie Village, Hatton, ND.
Jo Ann was born on May 25, 1936 in Verona, ND, the daughter of Phyllis and Fred Kupfer. She was raised in LaMoure, ND and received her education there.
Jo Ann and Arvid “Butch” Brignall were married and together had two daughters, Kristi and Becky. She met Calvin (Kelly) Spravzoff and they were married June 28th, 1985. They lived in Williston and Lakota for many years while Kelly worked as a rural mail carrier. After his retirement they moved back to Jamestown.
Jo Ann enjoyed crocheting, fishing, playing bingo and baking. She made the best buns. Jo Ann and Kelly loved going to the casino’s especially to Laughlin, NV. After Kelly’s death in 2009, she still liked going to casinos. Jo Ann was very proud of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Becky Devlin (Gary Dubuque), Grand Forks, ND, Kristi Balster, Jamestown, ND; three step-children, Susan Gertz, Sheree (Gerald) Frost and Scott (Monica) Spravzoff and their families; one sister-in-law Lil Spravzoff; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Staci (Landon) Nitschke, Logan (Shannon) Nitschke, Lawson Nitschke, Amy Larson, Alex Larson, Nickolas Larson, Corey (Flo) Ganser, Amanda Ganser and Tyler Ganser.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kelly, sister and brother-in-law Jane (Chink) Lien, brother-in-law Ray Spravzoff and son-in-law Jim Balster.
As per mom’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family gathering as she will be buried with Kelly at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND.
