Arlie Anundson passed away on July 2nd, 2021, at the age of 72. Arlie was born and raised in Valley City, ND. After high school he enlisted in the Air Force and served three tours in Vietnam with the Air Force Mobility Command. After his service he was a Commander of the VFW Post 2764 as well as a member of the American Legion Post 0060 and AMVETS.Arlie worked in sales most of his life. He enjoyed fishing and happy hour with family and friends. Arlie was a proud father of two sons. He was especially happy of being the grandfather of two little girls who brought him so much joy. They always kept him on his toes and put the biggest smile on his face. Arlie will always be remembered for his quick wit and many lasting friendships that meant the world to him.He is survived by his two sons, Tom Anundson, Joe (Teri) Anundson, and two granddaughters, Willa and Dorra; brothers, Denny (Sharon) Anundson, Bruce Anundson, and Gary Anundson; sister, Jane Anundson; his niece and nephews; partner and friend, Nancy Sather and her sons, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Charlotte.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 10th at 10:30am with visitation starting at 9:30am at Epworth United Methodist Church in Valley City, ND. Burial will be held immediately following the service at Memory Gardens near Valley City, where military honors will be observed. The family welcomes you to join them in celebrating Arlie’s life at the Labor Club (Valley City) following the burial service.
