Valley City (NDHP) The ND Highway Patrol reports that a 77-year old man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Valley City, at 9:55-p.m. Friday, August 13.
The report says, the driver of a 1991 Ford F-150 pickup 19-year old Savannah Jo Drake was operating in the 300 block of Main Street East. The pedestrian, 77 year old Conrad Hoff, from Oriska, was walking in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by the Ford’s front bumper. The pedestrian was knocked to the ground and suffered serious injuries. The driver of the pickup was not injured. Any charges are pending the investigation.
Barnes County Ambulance transported Hoff to Mercy Hospital in Valley City and later transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo via Sanford Airmed where he remains in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation. The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Valley City Police, Barnes County Sheriff, and Barnes County Ambulance responded to the incident.

The female driver was driving eastbound in the 300 block of Main Street E in Valley City, ND.
Hoff was walking southbound in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by the Ford’s front bumper. The pedestrian was knocked to the ground and suffered serious injuries. The female driver was uninjured in the collision. Barnes County Ambulance transported the pedestrian to Mercy Hospital in Valley City. He was later transported by
Sanford Airmed Life Flight to the Fargo Sanford Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol
