Brian Fehr, 81, of Wimbledon, ND, passed away early Friday, September 24, 2021 at his home.
Brian was born October 5, 1939 at Trinity Hospital in Jamestown, ND, the son of Allan and Apollon (Mueller) Fehr. He attended and graduated from Wimbledon High School in 1957. Brian continued his education at North Dakota State School of Science and earned a mechanical tech/diesel degree, followed by two years of agriculture courses at North Dakota State University. He also continued to help on the family farm during the growing seasons, performing field work, making hay, and tending to the dairy herd. Brian was inducted into the US Army in February 1963 with basic training in California. Brian served overseas in southern Germany until his father passed away in 1964 and then was honorably discharged to return home and operate the farm.
Brian was united in marriage to RoseAnn Exner on October 15, 1966 at St. James Catholic Church in Jamestown. They made their home on the family farm north of Wimbledon. Brian and RoseAnn lived on the farmstead, raising 3 children and warmly welcoming numerous family members into their home. Brian enjoyed spending time with his family, downhill skiing, horses, and reading. He was a rock collector, and split hundreds of rocks to construct his own stone fireplace. He farmed wheat and sunflowers for many years, and then worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years. He was active in Knights of Columbus and served on boards for the Church, school, Farmers Union, and Production Credit Association. In later years, he enjoyed antique tractors and driving his 4-wheeler around the farm. Brian was devoted to the Church, sang in the parish choir, and was passionate in his faith.
Brian is survived by his wife, RoseAnn; 2 sons, Bret (Julie), Wimbledon and Keith (Tonya), Bismarck; daughter, Anita (Greg Maulsby), Coffeyville, KS; 10 grandchildren, Pete, Pamela, Brita, Olivia, Maxwell, and Jack Fehr and Alexa, Kayla, Amelia, and Miranda Maulsby; 3 sisters, Mardell Johnson, Grafton, ND, Mary Ellen LaBaw, Chloe, WV, and Judith Wolter, Knob Noster, MO; and many adoring nieces, nephews, and extended family.
