Lona Arlene Bergh, 84, Las Vegas, Nevada formerly of Valley City and Jamestown, North Dakota, died Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
Lona was born July 5, 1937 in Carrington, North Dakota to Lyman and Laura Page. She grew up in Carrington, and graduated from Carrington High School. She married A. Marvin Bergh of Valley City, North Dakota on December 23, 1956 and they took up residence in Valley City. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.
Lona was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1955. She enjoyed having friends and family in her home for meals and playing cards. Her favorite card game was Canasta. She always had a cake or bars on the counter ready to share with whoever walked through the door. She was deeply devoted to caring for her children and her husband and did so for as long as she was physically able.
Lona is survived by her three sons, Kevin (Yvonne) Bergh, Las Vegas, Nevada, Kenneth (Tena) Bergh, West Fargo, North Dakota, Karl (Julie) Bergh, Jamestown, ND; one daughter, Kristine Bergh, West Fargo, North Dakota; three sisters, Darlene Reisnour, Carrington, North Dakota, Gayle (Jim) Cleveland, New Rockford, North Dakota, Lucille (Larry) Thompson, Dilworth, Minnesota; one brother, Jerome (Barb) Page, Carrington, North Dakota, two grandsons, two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin, daughter Kamela, and two brothers Myron and Larry, and one sister Marlys.
Memorial service: 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 30, 2021 by means of Zoom video conferencing. Lona’s life, memories, and hope for the future will be officiated by James McEwen.
