Michelle Jo “Shelly” Spanjer, 57, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday October 26, 2021 at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo due to Covid.
She was born on January 15, 1964 in Breckenridge, MN to Norma and Alan Spanjer and moved to Jamestown in 1969. She graduated from JHS in 1982 and attended NDSCS for a year. She was employed at Woolworths, Wegner Video Rental and Walmart. She married Bob Wegner May 12, 1984. They later divorced. She adventured to upstate New York for several years before returning to Jamestown. She courageously battled MS for many years.
She loved her many cats, and her dog Buddy. She was an artist at heart and enjoyed painting and crocheting – always sharing her new art and designs on her Facebook page.
She is survived by her sister Kathy (Duane Lillehaug) Spanjer of Fargo, ND; brothers Larry (Denise) of Bismarck, ND; Mike (Marie) of Phillips, WI; and Scott (Pam McGee) of Fargo, ND.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents as well as her parents.
Per her request there will be no funeral service, a family grave site service will be planned later.
