Walter E. Hopkins, 60, Jamestown, ND died Thursday October 28, 2021 at his home in Jamestown.
Walter was born March 15, 1961 at Carrington, ND, the son of Eugene and JoAnne (Peterson) Hopkins. He attended school and graduated from Sykeston High School in 1979, having played basketball in high school.
He worked for OK Tire in Carrington, and a automotive shop in Kensal. He later owned and operated the bar in Glenfield.
Walter was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Boston Celtics. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children, Tabitha McKay, Three Rivers, MI; Brady (Victoria) Hopkins, Sabin, MN; Hunter Hopkins, Fargo, ND; Ashely Hopkins, Jamestown, ND; 7 grandchildren, Carter McKay, Anna McKay, Emma Hopkins, Olivia Hopkins, Levi Bellaire, Owen Bellaire and Oliver Hopkins; 2 brothers and 1 sister, Tod (Renee’) Hopkins Sykeston, ND; Wade (Daylene) Hopkins, LaMoure, ND; and Robin Stiem, Jamestown, ND.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents.
Prayer Service- 7:00 PM Monday, November 1, 2021 at the funeral home.
Memorial Service- 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the funeral home.
