Theodore “Ted” H. Endres, 85, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Saturday morning, December 4, 2021 at Ave Maria, Jamestown.
Theodore H. Endres was born June 5, 1936, in Jamestown, the son of Theodore and Amelia Endres. He attended and graduated from St. John’s Academy in 1954, and then attended N.D. State School of Science in Wahpeton earning a major in architecture. Ted entered the US Army – Infantry in 1955 and served with a communication division at Ft. Denning, GA for one year and in Germany for one year. He was honorably discharged in 1957 and returned to North Dakota. Ted joined his father in the construction industry in Jamestown and was his father’s successor. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Marston at Napoleon, ND. In 1988, they moved to Fargo where Ted worked for the Diocese of Fargo at the Blessed Sacrament in West Fargo and St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo. After Marilyn passed away March 4, 2002, Ted retired and moved back to Jamestown.
Ted loved spending time with his grandchildren, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and appreciated antique automobiles. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, V.F.W, and the Sertoma club.
Ted is survived by 4 daughters, Lisa (Dan) Jensen, Dilworth, MN, Stephanie Endres, Apple Valley, MN, Wendy Riddle, Independence, MO, Nicole (TJ) Wojciechowski, Portland, OR, 5 grandchildren, Darius (Dawn) Endres, Fargo, ND, Devon (Jennifer) Endres, Dilworth, MN, Desiree Endres, Burnsville, MN, Danielle Jensen, Dilworth, MN, Jordan (Carole) Endres, Fargo, ND and 5 great grandchildren, Teresa, Savannah, Hailie, Ryanna, Conrad and by his sister Donna (Dolly) Endres, Jamestown, ND.
He was preceded in death by wife, Marilyn; parents, Theodore and Amelia Endres; son-in-law, Timothy Riddle.
Visitation: 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Rosary – 5:30 p.m., Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the funeral home, with a Prayer Service to follow.
Mass of Christian Burial- 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 13, 2021 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
Arrangements are in the care of Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
