A celebration of life for Lulabelle (Grewatz) (Houge) Fuller will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND. Lu died unexpectedly on December 5, 2021 at River Pointe Assisted Living Center, Moorhead, MN.
Lu was born November 6, 1934, in Edgeley, ND, the daughter of Louis and Lydia (Mauch) Grewatz. She was raised in Edgeley, graduating from Edgeley high school in 1953. After graduating, she married Clifford Houge and they raised their four children on a farm northeast of Edgeley. Lu worked at the Edgeley public school as a cook and head cook and retired after 32 years. Lu enjoyed interacting with the staff and students. Lu continued to live and work in Edgeley following Clifford’s death in 1995.
In 2001, Lu married Kevin Fuller. They resided in Edgeley and Jamestown until his death in 2018. In 2019, Lu moved into Riverpoint Assisted Living Center, Moorhead, MN where she resided until her death.
Lu loved to cook and bake. She will always be remembered for her homemade buns, cinnamon rolls, and apple pies. She was always making something to share with others, whether it was soup for the Lighthouse or banana bread to share with her friends at River Pointe Assisted Living. She also enjoyed spending time with her great granddaughters. Lu had a strong faith in Jesus Christ, cherishing time spent reading and studying His Word. Her life of service to family and church was evidence of this.
Lu is preceded in death by her husbands, Clifford Houge and Kevin Fuller. She is survived by four children: Peggy (Ron) Cossette, Fargo, ND; Penny (Bill) Aldinger, Denver, CO; Timothy (Barb) Houge, Aberdeen, SD; and Reed (Marlys) Houge, New River, AZ. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Danielle (Nick) Miller, Ryan Aldinger, and Briana (Ryan) Miller, and two great-grandchildren (Juliet and Evelyn Miller).
Eddy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
