(JPD) The Jamestown Police Department wants to notify Jamestown residents regarding a convicted high risk sex offender who has changed addresses within the city of Jamestown.

Timothy Alan Taxis isĀ  a 58 year old white male, five feet 6 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with hazel eyes and blonde/strawberry hair.

He currently resides at at 500 5th Ave SE , Jamestown, ND

Mr. Taxis has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, Office of the Attorney General.

Offense: Indecent Exposure – Taxis exposed himself to two female juveniles in a garden shop in Fargo.

Conviction Date: 01/16/2003 in Cass County District Court, ND. Disposition: 5 years; first serve 3 years; 2 years suspended for 2 years; 2 days credit; 2 years supervised probation.

Offense: Indecent Exposure – Taxis exposed himself to two 11-year-old girls at a park and then followed them in a vehicle. Conviction Date: 07/25/2001 in Jamestown Municipal Court, ND. Disposition: 30 days.

Offense: Indecent Exposure -Taxis exposed himself to a 13-year-old female while at the Alfred Dickey Library.

Conviction Date: 01/28/1999 in Jamestown Municipal Court, ND. Disposition: 30 days; 15 days suspended.

Offense: Indecent Exposure – Taxis exposed himself to the female employees of a video store. Conviction Date:

04/30/1998 in Jamestown Municipal Court, ND. Disposition: 30 days; 24 days suspended.

Offense: Gross Sexual Imposition – On three occasions in one week, Taxis exposed himself to young girls in the area of a tennis court. On one of those occasions, Taxis forced an 11-year-old girl to masturbate him. Conviction Date: 05/02/1994 in Stutsman County District Court, ND. Disposition: 7 years; 3 years, 6 months suspended for 4 years; 4 years supervised probation.

Taxis is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender.

Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders or their families, landlords or employers will be turned over for prosecution. Printed handouts of the demographics of Mr. Taxis are available at the Jamestown Police Department.
