Jamestown (Otter Tail Power) Otter Tail Power reports the cause of a power outage that occurred on Wednesday April 6, in Southwest Jamestown.
On Monday April 11, Otter Tail’s Charles Krebs in Jamestown said that the outage affect 640 customers between 5:48-p.m., and 8:25-p.m. on April 6.
He said a failure in the substation west of Neighborhood Grocery of the “oil circuit recloser,” caused the east circuit to go off line. The problem then had to be located manually. Circuits were rerouted to restore service.
The internal setting was back on line after a piece of equipment was replaced, with the circuit reset to normal on Friday April 8
