(CSi) The Jamestown Finance & Legal Tuesday recommended reformatting a job description to focus on hiring a GIS Coordinator.
Deputy Auditor Jay Sveum said the city went through the hiring process in November and again in February. Sveum said it was decided to look at options, including dropping the city planner portion of the job and hire a GIS Coordinator.
The Geographic Information System Coordinator, would be responsible for assisting in planning and zoning related items.
City Assessor Jamieson Veil said the coordinator would give the city staff another way to work more efficiently on multiple levels.
The meeting was shown live on CSi Cable 67, followed by replays.
