Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Aug 18, 2013) — The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office reports a 20-year-old rural Jamestown man rolled his vehicle about 12:10 a.m. Sunday (Aug 18, 2013) on U.S. Highway 52 near mile marker 263.
The report says he was airlifted to Sanford Hospital In Fargo, with possible life-threatening injuried, after being extracated by the Jamestown Fire Department.
He was the lone occupant.
Stutsman County Sheriff’s Deputy Damian Hoyt, says, the driver, whose name is not being released, yet, was operating his vehicle at a high rate of speed, when it entered an east ditch, struck an approach, and rolled several times..
Hoyt says, “The vehicle was destroyed.”
He says, alcohol was not a factor, but speed was.
The driver was wearing a seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The NDHP, Jamestown Police, and Jamestown Area Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
