Jamestown (CSi) While it’s been closed to the public recently, Jamestown Tourism Site Supervisor Allison Limke says work continues to prepare the Frontier Village General Store building for 2023.

She says with the changeover to the city in 2019 and the COVID-19 pandemic, there were a lot of unknowns to deal with.

As one of the older buildings at Frontier Village, she says it has needed maintenance for a while.

If approved, a grant would assist with rebuilding the General Stores deck making it more ADA compliant and creating more access to the building, along with eliminating the lip to step into the store, to make safer.

Work is expected to be finished and ready for the Frontier Village’s 2023 opening.
