Phyllis Wallner went to her Eternal home on September 29th 2022.
Phyllis Ann Schauer was born April 28th 1939 on a farm south of Dawson North Dakota to Richard and Elsie (Naasz) Schauer, she attended School in Dawson North Dakota and then went on to earn a degree for completing the course of practical nursing. Phyllis met Irvin in 1961 and they were married on July 3rd 1962. They made their home in Tappen North Dakota, and together they raised four children. Phyllis was a stay-at-home mom, the family traveled with Irvin while he worked on Road construction. Around 1976 Phyllis also went to work for Northern Improvement starting out as a flagger and then later drove water truck. 1985 brought them permanently home to Tappan as Irvin decided to retire. Phyllis then went to work for the school system in the library where she enjoyed working with the children and where she met her very good friend Rhoda Lachenmeier, Everyone should have a friend like Rhoda, the family will be forever grateful for your friendship, kindness, and generosity. Phyllis enjoyed hosting family meals and having her great grandchildren around, she was proud of the fact that in the last couple years she was able to care for her grandson Layne. Phyllis is survived by her children Rick (Cindi) Wallner, Dickinson, N.D. Deb Pfaff, Hattiesburg Ms. Quin (Gail) Wallner, Tappen, N.D. and Carla (Jim) Price Jamestown, N.D. nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Phyllis is proceeded in death by her husband Irvin, her parents, her brother Aleanor and sister-in-law Beatrice Schauer, and Grandson Mitch Wallner. Phyllis was a member of St John’s Lutheran Church in Tappen, North Dakota.
Memorial Service – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2022 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tappen, ND.
Burial – Fisher Cemetery, Tappen, ND.
Arrangements are in the care of Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
