(Farmers Union) – Carbon reduction has become a hot topic in the agricultural community.

An event coming to Jamestown in February will address carbon reduction initiatives that could shape agriculture and food supply chains.

ND Farmers Union will host the “Evolution Ag Summit: The Carbon Conundrum” on February 21st. It is a one-day event that will focus specifically on carbon reduction.

According to a release, Mark Watne, ND Farmers Union President said, “It’s important that farmers understand how they can benefit from programs and initiatives to store carbon through specific farming practices that help balance the atmosphere.”

Watne stated they will be connecting producers with industry leaders at the summit, so all can have a deeper understanding of programs and carbon reduction initiatives.

Zach Johnson, The Millennial Farmer, will keynote the summit.

Other speakers scheduled to be at the event include representatives from ADM, CHS, Anheuser-Busch, NDSU, Midwest AgEnergy, NRCS, Bushel, and more.
