BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A bill approved by the North Dakota House would require school districts to show a film on fetal development as part of their life science curriculum. The bill passed Monday by a 60-34 vote and now moves to the Senate. The bill would require districts to show a video at least 3 minutes long that shows fetal development during classes on human growth and development and human sexuality. Republican Sen. Janne Myrdal, of Edinburg, showed a sample video to a House committee earlier this month. The video was produced by Live Action, an anti-abortion organization. The Bismarck Tribune reports the bill does not specify which grade levels would see the films.
