Cooperstown, N.D. (KFGO) – A Stutsman County State’s Attorney’s Office employee is facing a felony charge in Griggs County for revealing confidential information to a defendant.

Investigators say that Jessica Dishong, 32, accessed sealed documents, and then shared the information to a suspect.

Court documents say that Dishong used Snapchat to send information about pending charges against 28-year-old MaGregr Obregon to him.

Court documents say that Obregon, from Cooperstown, repeatedly sexually abused and threatened to kill a teenage girl. He forced her to perform sex acts, sexually assaulted her for months, and asked her for nude photos. He also sexually assaulted a coworker at work.

Law enforcement were planning to execute a search warrant on Obregon and gather evidence. However, Dishong’s actions tipped Obregon to the pending investigation.

Obregon contacted the Griggs County Sheriff’s Office about the charges after Dishong’s message. Obregon and his wife provided screenshots of the messages Dishong sent.

A North Dakota BCI Agent interviewed Dishong, and she admitted to sharing sealed information to Obregon.

Dishong is charged with disclosing confidential information and hindering law enforcement.

Obregon is charged with sexual assault, luring using a computer, corruption of a minor, and terrorizing.

The BCI says that sharing sealed information can jeopardize investigations, and put the safety of officers at risk.
