Bismarck, ND – Cobra Oil & Gas Corporation notified state agencies on Sunday, April 28, of a crude oil release from a pipeline they operate located approximately seven miles southwest of Medora.

Cobra estimates the pipeline malfunction released approximately 10 barrels (420 gallons) of crude oil, impacting an unnamed Garner Creek tributary and range land.

Personnel from the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality are working with the
responsible party on cleanup and will continue to monitor the investigation and remediation.
