Jamestown – All campers and trailers must be removed from city streets by November 1 to comply with the municipal parking ordinance below.
Sec. 21-16-04.1. – Parking trucks two tons or larger, buses, trailers, etc., on streets regulated.
It is unlawful to park any trucks two (2) tons or larger, buses, trailers of any type, semitrailers, truck tractors, motor homes, RVs, camper trailers, implements of husbandry, construction vehicles, or commercial vehicles two (2) tons or larger on any street, boulevard or alley in any residential district of the city, nor shall any such vehicle be parked overnight on any street, boulevard or alley in any district of the city, provided that such vehicles may so park on such street, boulevard or alley under the following circumstances:
(3) It shall be lawful to park motor homes, RVs, camper trailers, other trailers of any type, except semitrailers, otherwise properly parked, on a street in any district of the city on a seasonal basis between April first through October thirty-first of each year. No vehicle shall be parked in the following locations: a. Within thirty (30) feet of any intersection of two (2) streets or the intersection of an alley and a street. b. In areas or locations where parking is otherwise prohibited or limited by city ordinance or state law. (4) Motor homes and camper trailers may be parked for fourteen (14) days, provided the motorhome or camper trailer is parked on the street directly in front of the owner’s residence between April first through October thirty-first of each year.
Any violations will be ticketed and owners notified to remove the vehicles prior to being impounded.
