NDHP – On Wednesday January 15th, 2025, at approximately 10:49 PM (Central time) a one vehicle roll
over DUI injury crash occurred in Sargent County.

A Chevy Avalanche operated by (Gilbert), was traveling eastbound on minimum maintenance
road 97th street SE near 143rd ½ Ave SE. (Gilbert) drove off the roadway into the south ditch,
causing the Chevy Avalanche to roll. The Chevy came to rest on the frozen ice of lake
Tewaukon.

Gilbert sustained none life threatening injuries, and was transported by Oaks ambulance to
the Oaks Community Hospital, in Oaks, ND.
Gilbert was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license and no
insurance.

The Chevy was occupied by two passengers at the time of the crash. Neither were injured.
This crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
