VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Valley City State University track & field teams will be participating in the Bison Team Cup this Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track & Field Facility at North Dakota State University.
The Bison Team Cup begins at 1:00 p.m. with the women’s high jump, women’s pole vault, and men’s weight throw. Men’s and women’s long jump will start at 2 p.m., and running events are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
VCSU’s Tayshaun Robinson, a freshman, is set to compete in the 60-meter hurdles. Robinson has already nationally qualified and set the school record in the 60-meter hurdles this season.
Senior Jasmine Barnes, who holds the school record for the mile will represent the Vikings on Saturday. Karly Just, a junior, has the school’s third fastest 3,000-meter time looks to improve her personal best on Saturday.
VCSU is set to compete against Minnesota State University Moorhead and North Dakota State University at the Bison Team Cup.
