Daniel Vagle, 59, West Fargo, ND (formerly Valley City, ND) passed away March 30, 2025. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Epworth United Methodist Church in Valley City. The service will be live streamed, then archived, on a link provided along with his obituary on his tribute page at www.lerudmathias.com. An online guestbook is available there as well.
Daniel Allan Vagle was born in Dickinson, ND on September 16, 1965, and was adopted by his parents Thomas and Diana (Baasch) Vagle in 1966. Dan was baptized February 27, 1966, in the Valley City Auditorium (while the new church was being built) by Rev. Richard Unkenholz with his godparents, Dennis and Kathy Baasch as witnesses. On May 13, 1979, he was confirmed at Epworth United Methodist Church by Rev. Erdman. From 1982-1992, he served with the ND National Guard.
He attended school in Valley City, graduating in 1983 from VCHS. Throughout his school career, he participated in all sports, but enjoyed football, basketball, and wrestling the most. He attended school in Wahpeton for a time after graduating before moving to Colorado. Some of his favorite things to do were 4 wheeling and paragliding in the Rocky Mountains.
After returning to ND, Daniel worked at various places before finding a job with Marvin Windows where he worked as a trainer.
Dan is survived by his mother, Diana; sisters, Pam Wollman and Mary (HJ) Norman; brother, Todd (Sheila); and his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Daniel had many friends over the years, but David Hoff was his best friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas.
