Norman Champion, 74, Jamestown, ND died Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Eventide at High Acres in Jamestown.
Norman was born January 15, 1951, at Long Beach, CA, the son of Howard B. Champion Marietta M. Champion (Jacobson). He graduated from high school, being very skilled in math, he could calculate numbers/stats quickly with staff at the nursing home confirming he was correct!
He and Maxine K Miller were married July 14, 1988; she died January 13, 2008. He practiced his Catholic faith religiously, participating or watching daily Mass. He loved trains, having an extensive collection, and fishing. He had a love of photography, noting photos taken of days gone by were important such as old farmsteads and barns along with beautiful sunrises and sunsets throughout the plains of ND.
Norman would complement the staff at Eventide all the time. He also had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed his routine, which at times consisted of cookies and chocolate ice cream for breakfast.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date.
