Theron James Miles, 52, of Litchville, ND, passed away at his home on May 29, 2025. He was born on April 25th, 1973 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Marietta (Schaeffer) Matson and Vincent Miles. He graduated from Douglas County High School in Castle Rock, Colorado in 1991. After high school he worked various jobs, but his real passion was for mechanics. Theron had a natural gift for repairing just about anything, and his mechanical skills were matched only by his willingness to help others.
He is survived by his four children: Joshua Lee, Korynn Nolte, Kira Miles, and Zachary Miles. He was a grandfather to seven grandchildren: Phoenix Stewart, Lilianna Nolte, Zapherianyth Moody, Juniper Nolte, and Emilia Nolte, and Dakota and Kayden Moody. Theron is also survived by his father Vincent Miles, and step-mother Sandy; his step-father, Jeff Matson; his sister Laura Miles; his step-siblings; Mike Matson, Christa Hatch, Scott and Mindy Meyer and Stacey Meyer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marietta Matson; his sister Alyce Miles and step-brother Rick Meyer.
Theron was the embodiment for “come as you are.” He had little concern for material things but possessed a deep, unwavering love for Christ and the Scriptures. He was always ready for deep theological conversations, offering wisdom, curiosity and a generous heart. Though almost certainly it would be torn and weathered, he was someone that would give you the shirt off his back.
Those who knew Theron will remember him as a man of humility, kindness, and devotion. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched, the lessons he taught and the quiet strength of his faith.
“Blessed are those who are poor in spirit: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Matthew 5:3
