Kristi Lynne Lee, 44, left this earthly life on September 7, 2025, a beautiful fall evening, under hospice care and with family at her home.

Kristi was born to Mona (McKenzie) and Jerome Lee Jr on November 16, 1980, in Fargo, and grew up in Jamestown. She was quick witted and funny, enjoying activities with friends and her pets.

Beginning at age 18, Kristi began the first of many years struggling with the challenges of chronic illnesses that resulted in numerous surgeries, tests, hospitalizations, and therapies. While sometimes discouraged, she remained focused on what she could do and valuing her relationships with others.

In 2001 her son Adam was born to Kristi and her partner Ryan Hust of Jamestown. She adored being a mom, and as long as her health allowed, loved special outings and activities with Adam. She proudly watched him grow up and succeed in Jamestown schools and in college.

In 2011, Kristi began a special loving relationship with her partner, Corey Michel of Jamestown, which would last the remainder of her life. They loved being together and supported each other through many ups and downs, never questioning their commitment.

Kristi left her family with many memories, as well as the gift of determining her care wishes. During her last hospitalization, she asked to go home to be with Corey and her cat “Kid” under the care of hospice. She was there two days before passing.

Her family is grateful for the support and prayers of many over the years, and for the care provided by Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Sanford Hospital, and JRMC hospice care.

Kristi is survived by her loving partner Corey Michel, mother Mona Martell (Darwin Moser), all of Jamestown; son Adam Hust (Sioux Falls, SD), brother Matthew Gilbertson (Bismarck), father Jerome Lee Jr (MN), grandmother Daryl Hehn (Fargo), stepfather Mike Gilbertson (Jamestown), and many loving friends and family.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Clarence Hehn, and Jerome and Connie Lee; stepfather Dean Martell and special family friend Patty Golz.

At her request, no funeral services are planned. Private gatherings celebrating her life will take place at a later time.
