On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at approximately 7:14 a.m. MT, a 2023 Hino Straight Truck driven by a 29-year-old male of Heidlberg, MS was traveling westbound on ND Highway 200 near mile marker 101.5. At the same time, a 2014 Freightliner truck driven by a 63-year-old male of Fargo, ND was traveling eastbound in the same area. The Hino crossed the center line and collided head-on with the Freightliner.
After the impact, the Hino came to rest blocking both lanes of Highway 200. The Freightliner tipped onto its side and came to rest in the south ditch. The driver of the Hino was life-flighted to Trinity Hospital in Minot with serious injuries. The driver of the Freightliner was life-flighted to Sanford in Bismarck, also with serious injuries.
The roadway was blocked for approximately five hours, and traffic was rerouted through a detour until the scene was cleared. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
